canyoning waterfall

Canyoning is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling (rappelling), and swimming, providing an unique way of experiencing Nature.

One may think it's an extreme sport or at least a very demanding one. It's rather easy for the average person, however you should ensure you do it safely with high quality gear and guided by an experient guide with appropriate training to fully enjoy the experience with no concerns whatsoever.

Our company provides you with every necessary equipment and also provides the necessary briefing on the activity to take place, including practicing rappel under a safe and controlled environment - our very own facilities.

Ribeira Funda

The Ribeira Funda canyon is set on the North part of the island, ending right by Tagarete's bay. This canyon is quite closed, with tall and tight walls, which makes it quite an unique experience. Summing up to 3 easy rappel descents, the highest with 20 meters, makes it the perfect first-time canyoning experience with great fun!
